SUSTAINABILITY

Allied’s approach to sustainability is embedded throughout our operations, in governance, culture and processes, and underpinned by our values of Trust, Respect, Integrity and Innovation.

This is supported by integrating accountability for the achievement of sustainable outcomes through training, KPIs and position descriptions. This helps us to ensure that our business will be sustainable well into the future by delivering positive outcomes for all of our stakeholders at the same time as achieving great business outcomes.

Our approach is informed by a robust stakeholder engagement process that has identified the priority areas for focus. This independently lead process identified a number of key areas (material issues), each of which has an articulated target, owner and program of work.

On-going stakeholder engagement is critical to the business and we prioritise establishing relationships that are collaborative and responsive. We regularly seek feedback from our stakeholders to ensure their perspectives are incorporated and impacts considered in decisions that we make, and also participate in relevant industry forums and associations to build our knowledge and form connections.

Allied Sustainability approach and its implementation is overseen by the Sustainability Committee. The Committee meets monthly to review progress against targets and ensure that the business is responding to all relevant environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities, including meeting legal and regulatory requirements.

RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN (RAP)

At its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

Allied Integrated Management recognises and pays respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their ancestors and the Elders past, present and future from the different First Nations across this country.

We also acknowledge the importance of connection to Land, culture, spirituality, ancestry, family and community for the wellbeing of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.

Allied Integrated Management is already in a process of developing its first formal ‘Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This is an exciting milestone for Allied, starting our reconciliation journey.

Our vision of reconciliation is based and measured on five dimensions: historical acceptance; race relations; equality and equity; institutional integrity and unity.

This reconciliation action plan will be part of our commitment to an Australia that values, recognises, respects and celebrates the diversity and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage.

We are committed to learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and cultures and to develop a strong partnership and relationship with Community.

OUR COMMITMENT TO MODERN SLAVERY

Allied Integrated Management is committed to commence taking the following steps:

  • Allocate resources and set up an internal multi-disciplinary team to consider these issues – this may include employees from operations, procurement and/or human resources.
  • Map and assess their existing (and any upcoming) supply chains.
  • Undertake a risk management approach to initially assess where modern slavery risks may arise in those supply chains.
  • Act to take minimise or completely remove those risks.
  • Revise current supplier terms and policies to cover these new obligations.
  • Revise current employee codes of conduct and policies to address modern slavery issues and provide training to employees on modern slavery risks.
  • Create a due diligence framework to continually monitor risks both internally and within those supply chains, and to look for markers of potential modern slavery – those markers may range from the unlawful withholding of wages and identity/travel documents through to excessive work hours and restrictions on individual movement.
  • Make sure supply chain participants are aware of these obligations.

Allied Integrated Management aims to achieve these obligations and create a point of difference in the market when compared to competitors.
